This is the Monkey Cake for the end of the year party for my son's preschool class. It was a jungle theme. I hope all my little monkeys liked the cake.

Addie's 9th Birthday

Here's a picture of Addie's cake. She asked for 3 hibiscus flowers and "Happy Birthday Addie". She also requested vannilla cake with strawberry filling. Here's her invitation so you can see what I was going for. Thanks "A" the boys had a great time on the waterslide.

Let me preface this by saying, "I don't like chocolate." Yes I know, what kind of woman doesn't like chocolate? Me. So when asked to make a chocolate cake the other day, I was very hesitant. This was for a surprise 40th Birthday (Hawaii themed). Chocolate Fudge cake with raspberry filling, and dark chocolate raspberry frosting, with handmade white chocolate sea shells. This smelled so good I wanted to cut into it. My teeth hurt just from the smell...Godiva has nothing on me.

Well I learned a valuable lesson today...don't decorate a cake when you are the only one home with two small children! As you can see my work was not that steady today...I literally had my 2 year old climbing on my back. This was made with Cakewalk Cakes signature icing.

Just to keep everyone informed, I am working on a signature icing for Cakewalk Cakes. Hopefully, everyone will be pleased with it. I'm really not a fan of "buttercream" and this will definitly set me apart from other bakers.
